If they dot get maternity blues I will get a nest...... :/
Ha-Ha!!!
Well I think I am the ONLY person on this forum that thinks birds need a nest. I allow mine to have nest all the time. They just love to sit in there so I am an ole softy!! #-o
Mine don't even try to breed anymore. On the down side, they don't want to foster anymore either.

fhgwgads Roseanne wants ALL the food. The babies are fine with new trays etc not scared at all (naive) and they eat it but Roseanne is scared and flies around it like a vulture. Waiting to see if its safe enough lol.

The problem is with society finches.... they are going to sit anyway..... somewhere, somehow. You could try it and if they started laying a lot of eggs... get rid of the nest. They might surprise you. I don't have a problem tossing eggs as soon as they are laid or replacing them with fake ones. But that's just me......

Chripy I think the vacation feeders are the best. Little waste and low mess

I tried a canary nest for Lucy and Charlie and they hated it
