Hi Everyone
Its been ages since I have been on here!
Lots has changed. I have downsized alot on my birds.
I am down to my original pair of Gouldians (Pirate & Marigold) and their blue son (Little Blue) my white opaline american budgie (Snowy)
I am rehoming my english budgie pair in 2 weeks time. So will just be keeping the birds above as pets.
I have done alot of thinking in the past few months, and at this time I want to stop breeding, and focus on making toys and selling bird supplies.
The birds I keep will be our family pets. Most I would love to adopt that really need a home.
I not saying im done 100% with breeding forever. But I want to take a few yrs off to just enjoy my birds and my family.
I hope everyone is well! And i look forward to catching up.

Dee,
Welcome back! There are a few of us here that are downsizing to better handle and enjoy our lives and the birds we keep.

Welcome back, Dee! Yes, downsizing sometimes is necessary, the work can sure get out of hand.

Re: Hi Everyone
Very true.Welcome back Dee!
I've done the same, time to take the work out of keeping birds for awhile.
Sadly, I no longer have my birds anymore (which was an extremely hard thing for me) except for the kids white budgie, Snowy. We just adopted a neglected (seriously skinny) blue budgie from a family whose son "lost interest in the bird" So we took her in so our budgie wasnt alone. The new budgie is eating, and they are both preening each other. Which is great.
Im going to be taking some time off from keeping/breeding birds. Sometimes its nice to take a step back every once in a while, to truley appreciate them.
I know I will be keeping finches again in the future but for now, I am enjoying the break

Im still checking in from time to time to see whats new.
I hope everyone else (and their birds) are doing well.

Re: Hi Everyone
Good luck for finding finches again in the future, and have some relax time now even no longer keep birds.
