hello!

What video camera do you recommend using to monitor behavior of finches in cages and nest boxes?

looking forward to your recommendations...

I haven't used a camera for monitoring, but several of the members have. I know Gary (ac12) has used one, he can chime in here.

I'll move this topic from the Introductions forum to Finch Chat, as others may be interested in using a camera to monitor nests. I know I would love to do it, but my waxbills either build their own nests or line the inside of premade nests so thoroughly that I wouldn't be able to see through the nesting material.

Many thanks Sally for your prompt response :)

Shall wait and see what others have used.

I trust a camera with a compact remote lens would served you best with your waxbills. The lens will be too small to cause them a threat, and will see have a view through the nesting material.
