Bands are scary!

Post by kittani79 » Mon Dec 01, 2008 10:38 am

I just banded my babies so I could tell them apart for sexing purposes -- man are they traumatized. It wasn't hard to catch them or put the split bands on.

The funny part is how they're all checking them out now, quietly perched on their favorite sleeping perch bending their heads around to see the bands better. Hehe.

They'll get used to them pretty soon I would think. I band mine before they leave the nest so to them it's like they were born with them.

How about some pics of your babies... just to show off their new bling!

I considered closed bands, but since this was my first set of babies I was too hesitant to go into the nest. Didn't want to spook the parents.

I do keep meaning to get pictures... maybe later today they will sit still long enough :)
