This molt is called the juvenile molt, when the juvies lose their youngling feathers, and grow their pretty adults plumage.

Gouldians usually molt once a year.

Regarding what I offer to help them through their molt. Pretty much the usual, with more of my egg food for the extra protein that they need to grow new feathers. They also get multi -vitamine drops in their water. I also grate, cuttle bone, mineral block, and iodine block and add It to their grit, along with crushed egg shells. That way, they can eat as much or as little as they need. They also eat lots of vegetables and some fruit as well. I've even had juvies , eating live meal worms, after they'd seen other species eating them.

Some people offer Feather Fast, but I have never used it.
