I'll not deny, that food, temperature and lighting (plus tlc) had a lot to do with it.

However, I think that being in a nice flight with other birds, not stuck in a back room of a store, had something to do with it as well. My little Piemur, is happy. He sings non stop, he's courting the ladies, he loves swinging on his swing, and baskung on a sunny perch.

He's gorgeous! I was so excited to see this thread, I was wondering how Piemer was doing. Normally I don't like orange, but Piemer makes me want an orange head, we gouldian glad to see he filled out...although didn't really have any doubts

The Orange (yellow) heads are pretty sweet. This is my second orange headed boy. My first boy is Jaxom, and now we have Piemur as well.

What a great job Elana...not that I thought he would turn out any other way, as you are... just simply put...wonderul... i would even go so far as to say, not just the Worm Queen, but you now might be the Gouldian Stuck In Molt Queen, and I bow to you...

But for real, fantastic, once those pin feathers clear up, he is going to knock Miss Fussy Pants right of her perch and into his Loving arms. :cough: wings!!!! My poor babies are molting right now and I just feel terrible for them... and to boot they won't eat veggies, so I'm doing the best I can with what they will eat, they won't bathe either.... ugh long story. Anyhow, their spirits are fine, they just kinda look like hell right now!!! hahaha But i had to comment on that great photo (all of them really) and your outstanding job taking this baby and making him right. Can't wait to see what the pet store says when you show them. I bet they won't even believe it's the same bird!!! hahahaha

So the kids are moulting, are they? Zebras or Gouldians, or both? Don't you just love the millions of tiny fluffy feathers, that follow you wherever you go? LOL.

lovezebs They were BOTH moulting, but the Zeb's are just about done I think. Almost completely colored up, and looking STUNNING! And oh, yes, the tiny down feathers that follow me everywhere.... LOVE THAT! LOL, the worst part about them is they are so hard to clean up, every time I sweep they just float around!!! and even if i do manage to get them in the dust pan by the time I'm pouring the dust pan into the trash can, the feathers are floating around..... I'm thinking of trying to make a pillow, what do you think? Instead of Duck Down, it'll be a "Gouldian/Zebra Feathered Pillow" LOL

What a transformation, he is gorgeous! It just shows what some tlc and good nutrition can do. You probably saved his life.
