Video of Male Gouldians Doing Courtship to Each Other

Post by Leo519 » Sun Jun 07, 2015 4:13 pm

I'm new to Gouldians (got my first one back in January).
Those of you who have experience with Gouldians, is this behavior common among the males?
I was so excited to finally get this on video today! :D

That's very interesting. Now I know what to look for if my Gouldians are feeling frisky.

My males have just finished their molts and are begin their courtship dances. I think it so funny!

I get such a kick out of watching them hopping up and down like that!
At first it looks like they might be having a seizure, then the hopping in place starts  LOL

That's what got me interested in Gouldians - when I saw a video of it on YouTube. I got all all males though, so I figured oh well I will never get to see the courtship dance firsthand, but when two of my males started doing it to each other I was just tickled!!
