Orion Meets Rowena

You won't believe this folks, but the little vixen just hopped over to my boy Orion, and she poked him ....... and there she just did it again ×2 and again...poke-poke, and fly away.

I think she wants to play with him, and he just sits there like a big lumox, doing nothing

What is going on here?????

My new little sweet angel, is a brazen hussy !!! How can this be, and her only a wee bairn, with the egg shell barely off her wee tuckes.......

They are doing fine, thanks for asking.
They will occasionally sit semi close to one another, but when Rowena tries to get closer, Orion, backs away...... I wonder if I should have got another male rather than a female. He was very attached to Rowan (and Rowan was a boy).

Rowena, is a social butterfly though. She hangs out with the Strawberries, and with the Goldbreasts, when Orion is not in the mood for a bit of teasing.

Hopefully at some point they will bond together .

Elana, you said shes very young. Is she poking him maybe for a feeding? A little bit of her youth showing maybe? Cause man, the crew I have will peck poor CJ right in the side to get a meal.

No, Rowena is young, but completely weaned (Ed would never have sold her otherwise).

I really think, that she just likes to try and get him going the little flirt.

What kind of plant do you have with them?

The best kind, lol. Plastic.

All of my flights and cages have fake plants in them. The birds enjoy playing with them, hiding in them, swinging in them, and sleeping in them. $ Store specials...... wash and serve .

Is there any plastic type plants I should advoid?

I stay away from anything that has tiny bits that come off when you pull on them. They must hate me at the store, because I'm forever tugging and pulling on these things (must think I'm crazy ).

I would avoid plants with little fake berries, any glittery stuff, and the flowers that have fuzzy middles (the fuzzy stuff can be yanked out by curious little beaks). Other than that, the sky is the limit.
