they won't tell me. I have given them my phone number 3 times now so they can give it to the breeder in case breeder don't want there number given out. They haven't done it yet.

Have a great day

That's weird you can't get them off craigslist..I see birds on there all the time..You could also look on Facebook if you are on it. They probably have groups on there in your area.. We have a group in WI " Wisconsin Caged Bird Breeders" So I would do a search for something similar in your area..Just a suggestion.

The aviaries my husband built are taken apart at the moment. When I lost the society babies I took them apart to clean and sanitize everything in the room (cages, carpets, walls, etc) I only have a few fake plants in the flights they are in right now..They love the vine type plants for sure. The society really like the ones that look like fake ferns and I hung some plants from the top of the cage and added some fake fall leaf vines for color. Just don't put anything in they can get caught in or nibble apart..nothing glittery either and nothing fuzzy. Hope this helps a little :)

Now thats a fun place for the societies! They LOVE to explore and pull on things. Looks like a little colorful hedgerow!

Petsmart is selling oat seeds in long grasslike stalks. My societies played tug of war, tag-you're-it, catch-me-if-you-can and volley ball with them for hours. They also had the fun of foraging the seeds.

Was entertaining to watch. Such a fun group those guys are. Cant wait to see the new aviary!

Now that's a really good idea Kelly... I might make up a facebook group like that and when I head up to see the breeder to get our new little finches on Tuesday or Wednesday, I might mention the idea and discuss it with him and see if he is interested.

Our Finches and our poodle supply me with an never ending amount of therapy for my stress related depression. Sitting there, throwing the ball for the dog while watching the finches is the best thing ever.

Thanks Mark I have asked several times. They don't seem to want to give out that info. Maybe the bird breeder don't want it given out. Or maybe the pet store owner is a jerk. Who knows.

Have a great day

the guy has king quail... I think that you lot in the states call them button quail... one of the clutches was only a couple of days old... so there were these super tiny chicks running around.
A friend of mine has a breeding pair. When the chicks are a day or two old he says it is like watching little cockroaches running around on the bottom of the cage. I did a google search and saw how tiny they are. I was not hard to imagine a clutch of the dark quail looking like cockroaches. They are so tiny!

Kelly congrats on the newbies and for helping out finches in need. Sometimes there are those in pet stores that 'look' at you and you cannot forget them. Usually I try restrain myself, but rarely do I win the battle of wills. I get them even if it means only to rehome them once they well.

Enjoy all the new birds, they look lovely.

Waiting anxiously for Puppy pictures !
I can just imagine how busy you are with the three pups....actually, no I can't even begin to imagine how busy you are with three pups. Please tell me they are house trained [-o< .....

So Eliza and Prez.... cute names :-) for your Socie and Zebbie.
When I hear Eliza, I always think of Eliza Doolittle, from My Fair Lady.

Did you name the new canine toddlers yet? Are they boys or girls?

Oh, and new chickens too, to add to your growing chickie flock.... I imagine your house is an extremely busy place :-). Make sure that you make some time for 'you' as well, and eat some of those fresh eggs  to keep up your strength.

Do keep in touch, when you get a chance. Oh, and don't forget those puppy pictures :-D

Apollo, Vesper and Bella and Louie..I for sure won't be getting anymore dogs any time soon..I forgot how much work puppies are #-o

Louie wasn't happy with the little anatolian boy for some reason and he was a very shy puppy which is not something you want so we took him back to the breeder and got Bella a belgian shepherd german shepherd mix
When I hear Eliza, I always think of Eliza Doolittle, from My Fair Lady.
That's where I got the name from :) One of my favorite movies!

PUPPIES!!!

They are beautiful Kelly =D>

So you ended up with two Marema's and a Belgian ?
The Belgian, you will find to be more people oriented and family protective. They are extremely intelligent dogs.

The Marema's, should bond very closely with your animals, if they spend a lot of time together with them. That should trigger the instinct to protect be it flock or herd.

Although I absolutely adore dogs (and puppies in general), I don't think I could handle three puppies all at once, sheesh! #-o I don't envy you, having to stay on top of those three .

I'm surprised to hear, that the Anatolian, was shy. That is not at all what the breed is supposed to be like.

Well enjoy these cuties, Kelly, and good luck. Oh, and keep the puppy pictures coming. I love LOVE them :-)

Gorgeous puppies! Can't wait to hear about the Belgian. If I get another dog (after the one I have now), it just might be a Belgian.

Is it true that 4 is a bad number and you need 5 or more? I love your white crested PS bird what a cutie!!!! I did the same thing that is how I got a Pied Society. If I had room I would expand to other types of larger birds. This is a crazy addicting "hobby"?
