That was so cute. Like they were copying each other's steps a bit. Now where are those little top hats.......

I just saw this on Facebook and was absolutely blown away! Having CBs myself, I love the fact that both sexes perform the courtship dance, both sexes sing, but this tap dance is incredible. As the article says, CBs are choosy when picking mates, so perhaps sometimes when we have problems with breeding this species, could it be that it is in some small measure because we chose their mates for them?

WOW this is awesome and it also explains some behaviors that are going on at home. Perhaps they are also choosy with friendships. The CB's are such beautiful birds I want to learn more about them!

Thanks for posting this video! I've got a pair right now, and I love watching them dancing. I never imagined their feet were moving so fast!

Sally it has made me re-think about setting up new pairs of CB's in the future. It definitely seems like it would be better to let them choose their own partners in a colony setting and only then separate the bonded pairs into breeding flights. All literature tells us strictly about one pair per flight but it doesn't say much about setting up breeding pairs.

This video has caused me to try so hard to see the tap dancing when my cordon's do the dance but I can't see anything :((

It just shows how amazing a birds eyesight is. And their concentration! Imagine trying to do all of that at once. I would fall over
