The snake, might decide that a little Owl, would make a nice snack. That you really have to watch.
How are these guys getting out of the flight?

I know about the snake all too well....he got out one day and strangled one of my society fledglings months ago. It was horrifying. The lid is super tight now, and we make sure he's always full and fed.
The owls get out when I open the door. I really don't like the way my breeding cages are constructed, but when I open the door to change water and put in new food, that pair goes crazy. I've even tried to put something over the opening once the door is open, but it doesn't always work. I have to be super stealth and quick before they get wound up. Sometimes I'll hold my hand up and they'll bounce off of it in their craziness. The other pair are not like that.

Were they wild caught by any chance?
I would get an old long sleeve tshirt, cut it open, clip it fairly tightly over the opening, and use the sleeve to reach inside the flight. Did I read that somewhere on here? I can't remember.
