Post by StodOne » Fri Feb 26, 2016 12:06 pm

That is so cute.
He is just loving it . Does he preen her as well?

Maybe when I am not looking lol
He did actually poke her with his beak a few times before that , but it didn't seem the same, he poked her a few times , but she didn't react so maybe he did preen her also ..
She is really busy making the nest though , she started acting so serious about it lol she is so cute when she is working xD
Works on the nest then climbs up and starts eating , jumps to the male , preens him a little bit , drinks a little water and then continues building the nest lol :P
Although it seems as if they have lice , they constantly preen and scratch themselves and I dont know if I should apply the lice spray since I don't want to freak them out since it seems they are getting along better and better :(

If you're going to treat them, then I'm assuming it would be better before they start a family.

Spraying for lice is quick and not that big a deal. She may be startled but shouldn't totally freak out. Better to do it now then when they are going to nest.
You should treat both and not just the one.
Good luck

Thanks for response I will do it as soon as I wake up ..
I wanted to ask though when I spray them i will put them in a different cage and spray their main cage also , how long should I keep them in short term cages before I let them in the main one again after it was sprayed?
