Good news

Post by StodOne » Tue Apr 25, 2017 8:38 am

So.. after the eggs cracked and that process failed with the canaries I removed the nest from the cage and tried to figure out a way I can make the nest stable , so I took a wire box that is used to put on an outer part of the cage and made a big enough hole on the cage so that I can put my wire box there , I've put the nest inside the wire box and voilà , there comes one more egg .
2 days passed since she layed the first egg and I couldn't find any other egg , either she buried the eggs under the hay in the nest or she tried to tell me that the nest was good , either way the hanging nest problem was fixed .
My male gouldian is finishing his molt and wont stop singing , literally just keeps singing and the female gouldian it seems just started molting , societies are still being silly and my zebra finches love the new coconut nest , the male just wont get outside of it oh and I have to film him playing with a bell i've put inside their cage , he loves to grab it with his beak and pull on the hanging part of the bell ^_^.

Be careful of the clapper on the bell and maybe even the bell itself. Most of them contain lead. Very toxic to birds. I always remove the bells and just put a bird safe strand of leather there. My Java enjoys playing with it.
