Sadly, the two finches I kept from this clutch did gradually lose most of their tameness once they became sexually mature, though I can occasionally pet them, they're not cuddly any longer. Interestingly, at least two of the chicks purportedly did stay socialized and are still finger-tame with their new owner. I credit this to the fact that while my babies integrated into a mixed flock of otherwise untame birds, those she adopted stayed just by themselves without any wild influence and never learned to be afraid.

Oh I miss my little babies... considering letting my adults go to nest and then maybe handfeeding a couple more society chicks out in the coming months to see if I can keep a couple finger-tame...
