Thanks for your kind words, everyone.

It is hard, even knowing Molly Sue's ridiculous age. In fact, I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't adopted him as a juvenile. His beak wasn't even totally changed yet when I took him home, along with two sisters and a brother. The siblings passed away several years ago, but Molly Sue lived on and he did have a very full life. I'm thankful we had so much time together. I'm just sad that time has come to a close.

Molly Sue Too is still alive and kicking. I REALLY hope he/she makes it. This baby is really special, with his/her timing, the fact that it's my beloved Squeepers' baby, etc.

I'm a wee bit concerned as I didn't see any food in his/her crop, but the parents (my Society and Zebra couple) are good parents. And the mom just emerged to eat, so I'm hoping I just caught him right when he was due for another feeding.

I've been away from the forum for a while just due to being busy in general, but when I got on here this morning and saw Molly Sue had passed, I had to read.

First of all, I'm sorry. I know how hard it is losing ones you've had for so long.

Secondly, I'm now wishing I hadn't read it, because I just had put on my makeup, and now I have tears streaming down my face. What a mess. Partly I'm feeling nostalgic about my own Charlie, my Boston terrier I lost late last year. I just finished painting his portrait yesterday.

Again, so sorry about Molly Sue.
