Thanks Ginene! He definitely won't be going anywhere. They're Is no way I could part with my first HF Finch, I'm too attached already! Just can't wait to see him eating on his own, Not to mention after his juvie moult! I know what color he'll be (BH-PB-YB), but don't know its sex yet. I call it a He in hopes that it will turn out male. I have two extra juvie hens that would be ready for him next year! Of course I'll be happy either way, as long as its healthy. Gosh, I sound like a new human parent lol!

Any guesses on the sex? I'm biased towards a male but his feathers Do look a little "dirtier" yellow like a DF male chick. The females are usually lighter in color. Again, I'm totally biased and could just be seeing what I want to!

You are an awesome finch daddy, Chris! I am glad to hear that you will be keeping this little one :) . I wonder if he will be at all tame? It would be amazing if he was. We have named our society babies gender neutral names, as we don't know their sex either. My son picked all 5 names, which all relate to desserts in one way or another!!! Lol!
