Once the feathers emerge they do not change color. You will have to wait till those feathers are shed and new ones come in.

Seen a third egg on the floor today!

Now I've moved my other couples in there for R+R and the other hen has been dropping eggs in her other cage too I'll be able to setup a breakfast club serving eggs with the number I may get

There's tons of calcium, grit, egg shells and additives in their diet so if they do carry this on they should be ok, I'm assuming there isn't a way to stop them doing this without separating males/females or cutting down their diet?

I would cut back on the protein to 2-3 days a week. Until their hormones slow down and rest, are they really resting at all.
Every one of those hens are in breeding mode and in the condition they are in you really don't want them to try and raise a clutch.

No, I'm not going to let them breed. I'll cut back a little with the eggs and the supplements. I just wanted them to have it all to recuperate. They've had a tough life I wanted them to have a permanent holiday!

Babs@lovezebs I didn't even make it to page 2 of this thread, I just had to tell you both (actually you all, but I couldn't tag everyone, and I really think if I Keep telling debbi276 how much I lover her, and her brain...she might starting thinking "things" about me.... So, just wanted to share that I love readint these threads, I'm usually late to the party (you know that stupid thing called work?) but when I do get to them, it never fails that what I was going to say One of you usually has said it by the time I come in... but it's pretty great.... Just wanted to let you all know...
