That's so funny! There must be an imprinting phase, and we don't know exactly when! But it's the same thing with my Gouldian! I said "pretty bird" over and over, in kind of a high whisper that I thought he could imitate. And that's what he does:) When he wants attention, he'll say it, knowing I'll say it back even if I'm trying to take a nap! But he also tries to woo the alarm clock with his 'song'! That's a trip to watch:) Poor little fellow--it's as close to a bird as I guess he knows! They are great little birds!
