monotwine I will have to go for splits then. If you breed for blue then all the cocks in the aviary will have to be blue or split for blue.

MariusStegmann if you have patience, splits are the way to go to get strong blue bodied birds bred outdoors.
Curious, why would all the cocks have to be blue? If you want blue then cocks can be blue and hens split, but vice versa too.
Main thing is to have any blues or splits separate from regular stock unless you breeding blue to normal for splits.

monotwine What I meant is to have the blue stock apart of the regular Gouldians.
