Yay! There they are!

If I remember correctly, is your bird room the one that has a screen door to keep the cats out, but to allow you to see and hear the birds from the rest of the house? Or is that someone else?

I was wondering if you think having them somewhat isolated has helped them to settle in better.

I was going to quarantine my Texas birds in my master bathroom, because no one would bother them in there. But it was going to be awkward, since there are so many coming. (8) So now I'm setting it up for my family room, which is right in the thick of things.

That's where I usually do quarantine, and it is usually fine. But I think mostly I've had birds that were used to being in cages and houses. I'm not sure, but I think Su and Helen's birds are used to an aviary, so this may be culture shock for them.

Ginene,
They're all so gorgeous! Congratulations on your new family of finches! The owl on the right looks like a hen to me, but looks can be deceiving. I pray for a joyful and fun time with the new babies.

Yes, Deb!!! She is a hen! Lol!!! Changed her name to Geri instead of Jerry! She laid 2 eggs already...but there are no nests in the flight. I hope to get better pics of them soon.
@Finnie
Yes, Finnie...my bird room has a screen door. My cats sit outside and what h the birds a lot. All of my new birds are a bit skittish...but mostly the societies. Hopefully they will settle down soon. The singer pair is already much calmer!

Thanks Martie! Leonard and Penny are all settled in...singing up a storm and calm when I go in and out of their cage. I think they like having the other finches in the room too.

That's so great to hear, Ginene. I think they are very ready to breed and by the time quarantine is over, should go straight to nest. :)

You will be passing rather close to me when you do....hide a couple extras in your pockets, snag some of those cute owl babies she IS going to have, and drop them off at my house on the way, okay? Maybe I'll have some spare zebras or societies for you, I know how much you love dealing with zebras.... :lol:

Nerien omgosh I am ready to scream regarding my Zebs.... Moved two Pied boys into a flight with Lucy and Woodstock... they were obsessing over each other for a month, and Lucy is dropping eggs left and right. So... no nest, just new dynamics for now.... Thinking of putting Shabby and Chic in with Raggedy Ann and Andy. Needless to say, keep your Zebs, I'll take some Soc's

@Ginene I am so excited for you!

So we have a deal, huh? You swipe, oops, I mean acquire, some of Ginene's singers and owls for me, I trade you some soc's, right? :lol:
