How odd......
Have you tried all of them in a large flight, to see if they will pair up naturally, before placing them into prospective breeding cages?
I'm thinking, that if most of them are young, and don't show any intetest in breeding, there must be some small part of the puzzle missing. The question is, what?
Do your girls' beaks turn black, sort of like one of my girls in the picture below?

Ooooo wee!!! Beautiful babies!!!!! Yes some of my girls turn black my OH WB YB does not. She has eggs right now. The ither female is BH PB YB (visually white head) her beak is red doesn't change to black. No I haven't tried putting them in a flight. However I was thinking of taking them out of the cage and letting them go (in the sunroom) I used to let my waxbills and society do that.

The female on top perch. The male just stares out the window... sorry for sideways and upside down stuff. Flipping doesn't work for some reason.

Those are gorgeous looking birds. Beutiful Gouldians, beautiful Shaft Tails....
Are those weavers on the bottom?
And what is the birdie in the second picture from the top? It's quite lovely?

I believe that among Gouldians, it's the girls that pick the boys. So maybe he's looking out the window, because she's simply not interested in him, and not sending the right signals, shrug.....

My little Budgie, is Freebee, for the simple reason... (you guessed it), that I got him for free at the Pet Shop
Regarding your Gouldi boy. Maybe he's pining after a long lost love..... Maybe he has taken a vow of celibacy. ... Maybe he needs a shot of testosterone..... lol
Who knows what goes on In those little birdling heads
.
He is very pretty though...... do you know how old he is?

Easy way to fix this. Open the picture in paint and reduce the size. I usually do 30%. Save file under new name and it should work.Majd wrote: I'm trying to add more pics but it keeps saying the file is too big!?!

If he's 2.5, than he should be in his prime. Do you know if he bred before for his previous owners?
Are you pulling my leg about the avi-viagra? Is there actually such a thing ?
lol.
Regarding free birds
. I've been very lucky that way.
With Freebee, I got him through my Pet Shop program, where when you get 1000 points, you get $35.00 free stuff at the store. Freebee, had to be got, he was being bullied in the Budgie enclosure.
Last January, I ended up at a Petland at the other end of the city, because another Forum member, mentioned that they had some finches that had been there forever and they were looking to home them.
I came home with 3 Red Cheek Cordon Bleu females, 2 Goldbreast males, and 1 Red Eared Waxbill.......
FOR FREE.
Way back when, I also ended up getting 2 little Zebra boys, for next to nothing. The people at the shop, thought that they were in really rough feather shape because they were really old. In reality, they ended up being 2 baby boys, who had not yet gone through their adult molt.
Then there was the Green Singer pair, for $20.00, again they were supposed to be 'old'.... well, they weren't.
I've also ended up getting a few birds, for a portion of the the asking price, because they were in baaaad shape, and I nursed them back to shape.
If you have a Pet Shop in your area, you can let them know, that you are willing to take birds that are brought in by owners and are unwanted, or birds that are not selling, or birds that are in rough shape and will never sell. You might end up with some free birds as well
