Pellets, seeds and millet. Also, I like to give them egg food a few times a week. Oh and they get vitamins in their water. I'm so paranoid about my birds that it's a bit ridiculous

I do pellets, seed, millet, eggfood, cucumber, lettuce, carrots, miracle meal, powdered vitamins, beak appetite meals that you just add water to, egg biscuits, crushed egg shell, a mineral block, and cuttlebone...

I also give them fruits and veggies a few times a week, and I just attempted to give them some sprouted seed today... They don't take so well to new things though. I'm not even 100% certain that they've really eaten any of the fruits or veggies either... They may just be pecking at them and moving them around a bit; they're kinda sneaky that way

Canary seed with 18% protein mostly and what veggies they're willing to eat. Dry wheat bread, Celery greens are liked a lot but they dislike all citrus. I also gather wild seeds they love and they seem to dislike wild small sunflower seeds. Clover is also like a lot. I'm afraid to try poke berries which are a favorite of wild birds. Sounds like I'm feeding them seeds and garbage

It's funny how time has changed. I feed and take care of my finches very well now, but when I was a kid (12 years old), my mom bought me two zebra finches, and I only fed them seed which was changed maybe once per week. They lived for a long time on just a cheap store bought seed and even raised a couple clutches.
I feel bad when i think back on them... but try to make up for it with my finches now that I know a lot more about them.

Hey, Emily, I used to buy Hartz Mountain seed mix at the dime store for my parakeet.
Now my finches get pellets, seeds for treats, spray millet for treats, egg bread and egg food, greens and veggies, some fruit. Some of mine will eat orange, some will eat apple. They all love broccoli and cucumber, but not all like carrot. I haven't been doing the sprouted seed so much lately, seemed like it was going off too often. Once winter is here, they go crazy for chickweed. Oh, I forgot the mealworms, too, for the waxbills.

I feed my two gouldians seed mixed with egg food and vitamins. I just picked up come oyster and charcoal gravel mix that I also add to their seeds. And a cuttle bone as well.
Oh I bought some millet since I had never before and the male was soooo happy that he had it all over his face ....it was funny to watch.

I feed my 2 boys a mix of seed and millet. But I also have a cuttlebone and oyster shell mix. But i have fed them some eggfood and broccoli. Found they do not seem to care for carrots. They like apples too.

I feed Seeds, eggsfood, Millet and Pellets, they don't eat the pellets tho since I can only get the ones for small parrots(and none of my lovebirds, tiels and bourkes eat them either, but at least I try).
I Mix all my seeds(I get like 6 bags from different brands with and without added vitamins and minerals and dried fruit etc), eggfood, and pellets together in 1 big pot so every cage gets the same thing.
They have a cuttle bone but I have never seen them use it, and they get vitamins in their water every second change(I change about once a week, they have a huge waterbottle).
They wont touch any fruit and veggies.

There are a couple brands of pellets for finches. These are the two I use:

- you get these normally in the crumbles.
You can also use these:
