I am so sorry to hear this! I just read it on the Facebook page. He will be greatly missed on this forum, also by members who never met him in person like me.

So very sad :( Seems we all learned from Bill.. His legacy to us.
Perhaps his family will have the opportunity to read this thread and know how loved he's been, even for those of us who knew him only through text.
My deepest condolences...

Bill....may you be gently lifted to Heaven carried by the loving memories of all your family and friends you have touched while on this Earth. And may all of Nature's kingdom greet you at the Gates with joyous noise.

Through his posts I learned about his patience, his concern to help others, his kindness and his love for his birds.
in honour of a beautiful person my next baby will be named after him.
I find it extraordinary and fitting that his name will live on through another.

May the Lord bless and comfort his family.

I sure am going to miss Bill, had already been missing his presence on the forum of late. I hope his next journey is fiiled with beautiful plants, birds, and friends.
I see that there were some other members into plants and acknowledged his gift and dedication to his gardens... I thought it appropriate to link this old post that Bill created for our enjoyment... Enjoy and may He forever rest in his La La Land :D

That was great to post that Candace, beautiful flowers! When we pulled up to the house we could barely see the house, his garden and plants were tall and lush, there were paths and stepping stones some looked mosaic, walking through the paths it was kind of magical, I can see why he loved it so. I felt like a kid in a colorful maze. He had a gift with nature.
