Soo... pop quiz.
Take 30 finches, put them in little warm room with a somewhat darker cage, decrease the photoperiod from let's say 14 hours to maybe 9 or 10 hours, and feed them a very strict diet.
Now four months later, take them all out into nice brightly lit cages, with the 14 hour photoperiod, offer them a smorgasboard of seed, veggies, millet, anything a bird's heart can dream of.
What's the first thing they do?
Molt! Got it in one.
I'm irritated and amused all at once. I can sell birds but they all look like crap LOL.
