I have a room 10 x 10 ( old house, tiny rooms ), planted ( in pots ) with bamboo., palms, droopy vines. Southern exposure, temp controlled with natural sunlight. I have been setting it up all summer getting ready to add birds. Thinking to add species of the birds I have currently housed in cages. Want to do it all at once so there are no territorial issues.

Seeking ADVICE AND CAUTIONS for this endeavor. Species that I have in pairs to consider :

Masked Grassfinches
Chestnut Breasted Mannikins
Owl Finches.
Black Face or Black Bellied Firefinches
RF Parrot Finches

Any and all input appreciated, thanks.

They should all be fine together but I have no personal experience with the chestnut breasted. I have had all the other ones on your list together with no problems.

decided on pairs of:

Painted Finches
Owl Finches
Gouldian
Black Face Fires
Forbes Parrot

the BFfire and Forbes hen are both missing a foot ( got them that way)
They have plenty of flat surfaces (shelves) for stability now that they did not really have in cages.

All is well the first week.
