Baltimore Bird show
I went up to the show for a bit this morning and was thrilled to find 5lbs of millet for under 20$. I also picked up a natural perch for the female society cage and some magazines to read.

The best way to go to a fair is with a shopping list and a budget--two things I never manage to keep to anyway!

Re: Baltimore Bird show
It was my first time I had my own table at the mart this year. I sold all but one of my gouldians, which was an excuse for me to buy a pair of star finches and chestnut breasted manikin that was in the show.

Re: Baltimore Bird show
birdclaws hooray! Now you can breed some owls (???
). And congrats on the new acquisitions! I wish I had gone, but I probably would have just gotten myself in over my head.
Which lonely Gouldian do you have left? Not that I have any business buying any more Goulds anytime soon...

Thanks! There were a lot of good deals at the mart. Even if I don't get birds, I stock up on supplies.Musetta wrote: birdclaws hooray! Now you can breed some owls (???). And congrats on the new acquisitions! I wish I had gone, but I probably would have just gotten myself in over my head.

I should clarify, I sold all but one of the gouldians I took to the mart. I still have a bunch of juvies coloring up at home. The male everyone passed on was my rh wb sfy which was one of the biggest gouldians I had this year.
We will have owls in the spring! and hopefully some fires, stars and manikins too.

Re: Baltimore Bird show
looking forward to the spring mart. Hope to bring my zebra babies from this summer and my 3 society babies from this summer as well to try to rehome. If I"m able I'd like to mate Estrella (my new choc society) to my boy Kismit (choc pied). Maybe if things work out I might be in the position to pick up a pair of owls. They're pretty cute. Wish I'd had a bigger budget but it was good to scope the place out and I'm still thrilled to have the millet for a decent price...so crazy expensive in the stores UG!
