I picked up my Gouldians today!!!! Weeeeee!!!!

Post by Kiko » Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:34 pm

I couldn't wait for the weekend, so I called the breeder and he said come on over.

Introducing my new pair, red-head lilac breast male, and black head purple female.

I have some tentative names picked out but will wait until I get to know them and see what names fit them.

First pic was taken with no flash, second with, so colours will be a little different.

They are bopping around the cage, and I saw the female eat. Now I just have to watch and make sure I see them drink!

There's nothing quite like the high of bringing home new birdies. They look beautiful and very healthy.

Now hurry up with the names....don't make us wait...lol!

She drank! I had to move the water tube slightly, and then she went straight to it and drank, and he followed shortly after. Thats a huge relief, to see them eat and drink.

I am going to call them Navarre and Isabeau, from the movie Ladyhawke.

They seem to like their names, if I sit a few feet away and talk to them sweetly they tilt their heads and listen.

Kiko, I hope that they have access to more water than just the tube. I always worry that the tubes dont provide enough water.
