Heya
Here are my latest additions. I drove for 6 hours to get the Pied Cordons, but once I got them I knew they were worth the lovely day out driving in the sunshine.
Also got a 2nd pair of Orange breasts, I couldn't resist them they are just so pretty.

Sorry everyone. I never got notified that i had any replies.
Thanks to all for compliments. I think the Pied cock bird is stunning. When i seen him (I had 3 pair to choose from) I was like "That's the one - he's mine!!"
I cant wait to breed from him. I have just been told how to breed live food (Meal worms) as they are so expensive to buy, around $11.50 for a small tub and they are usually half dead. Once i can get the live food under control i will be putting my 2 pair of Cordons out to breed along with the Pied African Fires and the normal AF who also love the live food.
You will see in another post i just got a new aviary for Christmas so the plan is to put them out there, well one pair at a time so they don't nest hop. I still plan on using my flight cages inside for other needs.
PS> Not forgetting the pretty little Orange Breasted Waxbills. I just love them, but boy are they fast, you can hardly see them, now i have two pair they are easier to see, i think you need at least 3 pair of them to make a presence.
