fresh vegetables and egg food - finally

Post by lpappy » Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:32 pm

After reading all the helpful posts on here I've been trying desperating to get my gouldians to eat an eggfood/vegetable mixture. My zebras would gobble it up but my gouldians would barely pick at it til now! I think I have finally cracked their recipe. I only use carrot, broccoli and an egg, I put it in the food processor and after about two weeks they are finally eating it like they enjoy it. I've tried so many different combinations and they refused it but this they seem to like - yea finally! They are going through a crazy molt so hopefully soon they will be their beautiful selves and I'm just glad they are eating something other than just seed and millet. I just try to keep them as happy and healthy as I can.

Thank you Debbie! I know it's better for them to have some variety in their diet so hopefully I can find some other things that they will try.

I deal with the same issue. I can't believe how easy some folks have getting their Gould's to try new foods. I try everything! still struggling to find the right recipe!
