The new aviary project commences

Although the aviary is not yet ready i have started acquiring nests and trees. Got two types of nests till now with another 3 types which are on their way.

This morning i went to one breeder to see what he had and i could not resist placing my order with him. Will be picking up what i chose in the next 2-3 weeks. From this particular breeder, whom i might add has very good quality finches i bough 4 x long tailed finches, 4 x diamond firetail finches (2 red and 2 orange beek mutations) 2 x parson finches, 6 x bengalese finches and 2 x star finches. Unfortunately i was not able take photos of these as they were in big cages.

Went to another breeder to see his gouldians (he breeds only gouldians and competes in local bird shows) with the intent of ''seeing'' but i could not resist buying 4 little beauties which i ended up getting home already.. houses to my regret in a rather small cage for the time being till the aviary is up and running (2-3 weeks) I believe the 4 gouldians are 2 men and 2 women. Correct me if im wrong ?

thanks for confirming guys :)

my oh my.. just did it again in just one day.. went to another breeder.. bought myself a pair of lovely Cuban finches and a pair of strawberries.. didnt put a photo of the strawberries as they are moulting and not in a nice shape .. they were his last pair and got them for a good price...will just have to be patient till they moult completely.. on the other hand the cubans are in amazing shape ..VERY pricey.. the missus will soon kill me i reckon after today especially...below i tried taking a photo with not much luck as the little ones sure are as fast as hell..
