That's not a nest. And that's a whole lot of eggs to come out of one poor little female. Poor little birdies. Where or who did you get them from?
How are these birds doing now?

The finches were at a mediocre breeder. They were in a small breeding cage 30cmx30cmx30cm .. but at least were provided with the best food and vitamins on a daily basis. Its very strange how she laid so many eggs and never bothered building a nest as shes always had nesting material available. The day after i bought them i actually found another egg on the bottom of the cage floor. at the moment they are in a normal cage without nests or nesting material waiting and resting before they are released into the aviary . They are doing fine .. they are a very bold and weird type of finches .. waiiting to see them fly in the aviary.. speaking of which the front and roof are going to be mounted today hopefully .. will post a photo of two

I don't know too much (actually nothing) about cherry finches. I have never seen one in real life. Are they supposed to be friendly with other birds?

I love Cherries!!! Never saw one in person and will probably never be lucky enough to own them...but they are beautiful! Hopefully they will breed gorgeous babies for you!

They are very similar to our local sparrow.yes they seem to be friendly till now.they are in a cage with gouldians and they seen to be getting along alright till now.the aviary is big however and none of the finches should be getting in each others way
