The young seagreen that I thought male, looks more and more to me like a female.
It is still young, which would make it sexing more difficult.
Your thoughts on the sex?

The picture is not great but it definately looks like a female

I posted a few photos on this thread which might help

It sounds like your in a similar situation to me with my first 3 so called pairs ( 5 hens and 1 cock firing blanks ). On a plus note it's generally alot easier to find spare cocks than hens so i reckon it's 50/50 cocks/hens, you'll probably find someone else who bought birds from same dealer ended up with all males.

Thx Padraic

I will be buying an pair of pieds on Saturday. I was hoping for an extra pied male, but that one was sold already. I know the photo's are bad, but I can't get closer that 3 metres to the birds. I will have to change my aviary in the future. They are getting too wild.

MariusStegmann, the're not easy birds to photo whether in an avairy or cage as they are always so active, it takes me alot of clicks of the camera before getting a half decent photo and even then sometimes i simply give up and use the best of a bad bunch of pictures, i've taken so many photos of empty perches and blurrs, could you imagine if there was no digital camera and every photo had to be developed from a roll of film before knowing if it was any good :-L

True, you snap 20 pics and only about 5 you can use. I can still vividly remember the days were you had to give in your film for processing. The it was a very expensive hobby.

Smurf, I used paint in stead of MS Office to cut out the bird. You can see better on this photo.
