I am running out of finch names. I usually name them at banding when I put them into my database, but am feeling very uncreative right now, and just can't think of names. Asking for suggestions, especially names in trios, like Larry, Moe and Curly, etc. I am going to write them all down and keep a list to choose from.

I am having the same issue Lori. I actually used the name generator on the forum to name my 3 juvies...Chirpy (f), Nestly (m) & Beaker (m). I still don't love the names, but I was desperate ;) .

wilkifam...its @ the Finch Info Center under Breeding. Its called the Random Name Generator. I also use Google to find names for pairs, trios, etc. I'm looking for names for an upcoming GB Waxbill pair. I'm thinking Mike & Molly (have never seen the show though). Also considering Wesley & Buttercup (from Princess Bride). My new BCCB hen is going to be Mary (Poppins) as my males name is Bert

If you want a totally outsider looking in approach, all the way from Africa, here is a name you can try, it is a typical name that we would call something when the two Finches enter the nest, when they climb in they make that grovelling sound, we call that "CHOMMELING" now that is a real neat name! CHOMMEL or CHOMMELING

From I love Lucy... "Lucy" "Ricky" "Ricardo" "Ethel" "Fred" "Theodore" "Ted" "Theo" even "Mertz" I love last names as first names. I'm not sure if you have boys or girl birds. I would look at Wikipedia, Disney shows, or old time tv shows/movies and get names from them.
