Also, I was looking at your aviary pic and am curious about the one where you have millet standing up between the large rocks. Can you tell me what you have donel That looks very interesting and I just lay mine on a large tray in the aviary. Then I have to keep turning it over so they get it all. I don't like it hanging from the ceiling. Way too messy!!!

The spray millet "spider":
The millet is stick into a block of green florist foam (you can get it at most Wal-Mart stores), and then camoflaged with spansh moss, we wave four round river stones to to keep the floral foam from falling over.
We find that we need to replace millet every couple of weeks with this set up. We have 10 species in the flight and their young at any given time.
We rotate birds through the walk in flights when they are showing signs of breeding so the millet is always being consumed for the feeding young as well as normal consumtion.
