You know you're a crazed finchaholic, when you're standing at a bus stop and notice a large pile of flying ant bugs on the ground and consider pulling out a plastic bag and starting to pick them up to take home for your birds.

Let's see....
You know you're a finchaholic when....
You notice the goldfinch amidst the gazillion sparrows and grackles in the giant live oak tree in the Walmart parking lot. And then proceed to get the birdseed out of your trunk to feed and admire them.....while fellow shoppers look at you like a crazy bird lady.
All the while mentally going through your car and thinking of what you can use as a makeshift net to catch the lovely and take him home!
(He's lucky I didn't have anything suitable or I would have seriously considered scooping him! LOL)

Or --- or!! --- you're out walking the dogs and you notice maggots on the trash can lid and think "Hmm....I bet they'd like those."

O.K. You know your a finchaholic when...
You speed over to a total stranger's house to help them hand feed some babies that were tossed out of a nest. The owners didn't even know they had a pair. They just gave them a nest to sleep in. LOL.

And, and, I have a Wal-Mart one too.
You know your a finchaholic when you walk through the WalMart parking lot and notice a fledgling Starling who is begging and chasing an adult bird. It's very hot, so you go inside and bring out some bottle water and a sprig of green leaf lettuce and set it next to a tree nearby.

Then, all the wild birds go flocking to the food and water, So you put some at the other end, for the fledge and it's Mama.! I can't believe I did that, but I felt so sorry for the little guy in our Texas Sauna of a summer!

I rarely make it out of the Walmart or PetSmart parking lot without breaking open some food item for the birds! LOL
I quite love watching them!
