Love the Cosco sparrow.
For me it was at Walmart... I will confess to my terrible sin.
This was quite some time ago (somehow it sounds better that way) when I was a few months younger than I am today....
It was Winter time and colder than hell when it freezes over. I was in there for something or another and had to stop at the pet isle of course, seeing as I live in a zoo.
There was this little sparrow on one of the shelves, trying (without success) to poke a hole in the thick plastic bags of wild bird food. Here were all these bags and bags of every kind of bird food you can imagine. And here was this tiny hungry wee bird, trying frantically to get some food...
Not quite sure what came over me, but suddenly there was a little hole in the bag and a small pile of seeds on that shelf.
I scurried away, looking over my shoulder, thinking that the bird seed police would pounce on me at any moment. I paid my bill and hurried out of that store into the frozen waste land of a parking lot, thinking to myself that at least he wouldn't go hungry for one day.
So call me evil and report me to the bird seed police.

There's a snow storm outside and - 10 windshild, and you contemplate the thought of taking the bus over icy roads, to go to your favorite pet store, just to see if those two little Red Eared waxbills are still there. Maybe (God knows why) they were put on sale, and you would miss out on it if you were not there today.

You'll be proud of me. I resisted temptation and didn't go.

-You go to just look at a baby Parrot Finch, and come home with said baby boy, 1 Yellow Star baby boy, 2 Yello Star baby girls, and 1pretty Socie girl...
Did I need more birds? No-o-o...
But could I resist a good hagle and a steal of a price?
Of course not!
