You know you're a crazy finchaholic when you have to tell your kids NOT to tell their teachers about the new birds you got over the weekend lest they assume your crazy. Or when your two year old is so accustomed to birds that she gives the dove toys to play with and tries to teach it to sit like the dog.

You know you're a crazy finchaholic when you:
1. Consider "borrowing" the artificial plants around your school for your birds to use when nesting.
2. Feed more fruits and vegetables to your birds than to yourself.
3. Rack up tons of miles on your car driving to various bird marts, a bird show, and breeders to buy new birds.
4. Have to promise your husband you'll cool it for a while because your living room has officially become a bird room.
5. Find yourself on the finch forum during work hours in between classes.
6. Gag everytime you have to grind up mealworms, or mix in other insects with your egg food, because the smell is so terrible, but you do it anyway, with the collar of your shirt pulled up over your nose.

You know you're a crazy finchaholic, when your making your Gouldian babies march (to strengthen their spindly legs ).
AND THEN, you pick up your glass of iced tea for a refreshing slurp, realize (after the shlurp) that there are some bird seeds at the bottom of your glass. Check to make sure there are no poops in there, and say ah ok no poops, it's just seeds and keep drinking .
It was only afterwards, that I really thought about it...

When you rearrange your living room, which involves moving a piano, just so your new cage can be best seen. Because, you know, it's way too huge to put in the kitchen like you had planned.
