You know you are a crazed finchaholic when you go for a quiet walk on the beach with someone special and spot some cuttlebones... and start collecting them.

Our Finches and our poodle supply me with an never ending amount of therapy for my stress related depression. Sitting there, throwing the ball for the dog while watching the finches is the best thing ever.

Hi.

My first thought was, WOW.... you can find free cuttle bone over there???? What does that tell you

I imagine, that your special someone, might have given you an... are you 8-} look. =)) =)) =))

Me? I would have pointed to the distant horizon, crying out : LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT SHARK !!! As I would have been filling up my pockets with cuttle bone as fast as I could, lol.

True more of a time suck than FB and much more interesting!!! I must have it bad. I did have a bug of unknown origin land on my arm and just before I squished it the thought ran through my head; "I wonder if they would eat this"? Glad to know I am in good company.

When I saw the title of this post I wondered if it was the one you mentioned!
You might be a finchoholic when you make a special trip to petsmart and say, no I want the ones are plucked, I can't leave them here. And then you name them Scruffy and Ragamuffin.
Or when you have more pics of your birds on your Instagram account than your kids.
Or when you go and read really old Finch Forum posts because there are no new ones...

Yeah, that's me.
A pair of Gouldians, Red Cheeked CB's, Orange Cheeked Waxbills, Javas, and Cutthroats. And, two canaries. And, 3 kids, a dog and a patient, patient husband.

This is my favorite. Who ever started this thread was brilliant. Much more fun than sickness and stuff. I might be a finchaholic trying to figure out how to get some of Dylan's spice hybrids to MS. HA and measuring my cages to make sure they are as big as i thought. Yeah they will do... and wondering where i can put another one and when will someone start breeding some great breeds here?? and maybe that will be me?

You know you are a crazed finchaholic when you warm the bath water for them because it just got cold....

I'm afraid that I have to take the blame for starting this thread :ymblushing:

The other good one (not mine), is : 'You know it's bad when...'

Well, why shouldn't you be the one to breed some wonderful finches in your area ? =D>

It's lime the old saying : If you can't find the book you would like to read, sit down and write it !!! :-D

Know what you mean :-D
The people at the Pet Shop, know me by now as the lady who takes these ugly ducklings, and transforms them into swans. They ask to see pictures of them.

Isn't it normal to have more pictures of your birds than of your children ?

I am just sitting here wishing someone would post some good stuff. I have read just about everything on here!!! I was picking some feathers out of my throw pillows for nesting for the birds this morning does that count for being bad or crazy?

How about this one... your husband brings you flowers for your anniversary and he also brings you home 3 dozen eggs as a surprise.... you know you have it bad when you are more excited and thrilled with getting the eggs than the flowers!!

Flowers are nice, especially if they're Dandilions, with chickweed trimming ;-).

Eggs are always welcome around here!
