So in lieu of my Zebra pair having a baby(1 so far)TODAY.... I realized my pair don't have names!

I've had them since last spring and I've not named them yet! I know... bad mummy right?


Anyone want to help me name them?

I'm hoping to go with a lord of the rings theme(ether character names or names of places, or words in a language of middle earth)

I like the name "Erebor" for my male but I'm open to suggestions!

By the way Erebor is pronounced "air-a-boar"

Okay, I looked up LOTR names, and I like Faramir and Arwin (I like Erowin as a variant of Arwin.)

I think Shire would be a cute name too! (Boy)

I should have mentioned I'm going for lesser used names, I like Arwen and even Eowyn(both neat characters) but I think I want to go with less common names

I also really really like Faramir but I think I am going to go with Erebor for my male

so I just need help for my girl's name, perhaps a place, like Lothlorien but not quite such a mouthful

I like the idea of Shire for a baby(if any survive), and Bree(town) would work well too, or maybe it should just be regions(Shire, Rohan, Gondor, ect.) for the babies?

Or, you could use the city Minas Tirith, and call your female Mina for short.

I've decided on Celebdil for my girl.

I had a brain fart and forgot that Erebor is a mountain(the lonely mountain)

so I gave her the name of one of the misty mountain range's peak.



The are the foundations of middle earth, I'm thinking river/water names should be next(followed by regions--> towns--> ect.)


Time to name baby #1! (goes to look at river/water names)

I'm thinking Anduin for the baby, it's the biggest/longest river in middle earth and it flows between Celebdil(misty mountains) and Erebor(the lonely mountain)

shortened it could be Annie for a girl or Dune for a boy
