LOL.....

Am up early to check the forum. Last night started a MAJOR re-arranging and cleaning of my bird room, but NOW, I have volunteered to photograph a local 5K race so finishing up the bird room project will have to wait till this afternoon. (i would be going to the race anyway because my son will be running in it ) will send pics when I am done.

I sure can empathize. i often plan to do something with the birds or bird room and then my kids tell me I have to take them somewhere, at the last minute! Eventually, I get back to the finches, but I work better without interruptions. Enjoy the race!

Speaking of real life, I travelled four hours yesterday so I could participate in the third - and last - of an Ultra Cup series of six-hour bike races. My race is today. Awards are late tonight, so I won't be able to get back to my finches until tomorrow afternoon. I have several pair of African finches on eggs that I hope will hold off on hatching until I return. My spouse is taking care of everything, but it's not the same attention to detail that I would give.

Tell kids to take up running and cycling, Mom busy with birds.

Son ended up sick, but I had volunteered to take pics of the race as it is a charity event fundraiser to raise awareness of Depression. SO.... Even though the kid did not run, I was there the whole time. Anyway, his two cross country teammates got first and second so we were happy for them.
Home now, cooling off before I get back to birds.
