What are these crazy birds doing?!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been away for the past week. School got pretty crazy, but I'm on fall break now. Ahhhhhh...
Anyways, I have more time to fret over a few things now and they're making me pretty worried. I have no idea if these things are related, since this is all pretty new to me. Just to preface this, I'm almost positive I have 3 females. Early last week I found a broken egg on the bottom of the cage. No big deal. Then about three days ago, I made the transition to a vacation feeder to help with the mess. They seemed to adjust pretty well, but yesterday I noticed that there weren't nearly as many hulls in the drawer as the previous two days. I also started feeding them scrambled eggs and shells around the same time (made them in the microwave, thanks MiaCarter). This morning, there was a perfectly formed, intact egg on the cage floor. My husband disposed of it for me since I couldn't stand it.... even though I know it's probably not fertile. Ugh.
After I cleaned the cage this morning, I noticed the little fawn female all puffy. She was alert and only a little less active than normal. It's starting to get chilly here at night so I set up my little fan heater by the cage about an hour ago. She is now much less puffy and they're actually all more chirpy and active. Should I let the heater run overnight in the chilly months? We usually heat the house to around 73 in the winter.
So.... do you think the little fawn is my egg layer or was she just cold? Any way to tell? Why are they laying eggs like this and when will it stop? Are they eating less seed because they're getting full on eggs? Is that ok?
