HAhahahaaaaa!

I noticed Anduin is getting lots of pin feathers on his head(his cheeks are just starting to turn orange!) so I took him out to scratch his head because he's in a cage by him-self until Amon is out of quarantine(assuming they get along).

HE WAS SO ANGRY!!!!!!! but at the same time he loved it! hahahaaaaa.

He'd start to relax and obviously enjoy it when suddenly he'd remember that the dreaded hand of doom was there and he'd get really angry and try to bite! then he'd start relaxing all over again! it cracked me up!

Ha, that's funny!

I've got a cockatiel who's like that. We're in the process of taming him and he'll have his eyes closed, enjoying a cheek or head rub, and then he'll remember I'm a human and he'll suddenly get nippy!
He's getting much better about it though.

Is there anyone else you could pair Anduin with until his friend is out of quarantine?
You need to be careful about putting juveniles alone, as this is a really essential time for learning the intricacies of finch social behaviors.
If you leave them alone during this time, they can end up socially "dumb" for lack of a better term.
Those singletons tend to be more prone to developing antisocial behaviors.

I'd love to see a pic! I bet he looks super cute!

I don't at the moment... but his cage is up against his parents cage so at least he can be near other birds, but of course they have the new baby so I'm not putting him in with them.

Sounds really cute, and I know what you mean. My budgie girl Freebee does the same thing.

It's like, no no.... don't don't.... that feels good.... don't stop (?) What am I saying ?

Makes me laugh.:-)
