New SG Pied?

Post by MariusStegmann » Sun Jan 11, 2015 7:28 am

My one pair of RFP finches had hatched a single chick out of a clutch of 4 and the little seagreen fletched today. The previous time I removed the dud eggs and right after I did that the pair abandoned the chick. This time I left the eggs in and it seemed to do the trick. The paired continued to incubated the dud eggs and incidentally also fed the chick. It looks like it might be a pied because of the yellow beak.

Congrats! Sometimes it is hard to get a pair to raise a single baby, so this pair did good.
