Well apparently its lovefest 2015 at my house. My juvenile zebra males are umm, yah doing the happy dance with everyone in the cage, including poor dad. Hes the only one just sitting there while the other 3 juvenile males practice their technique and aim on each other I suppose. Poor dad just sits there all indignant while they even practice on him. This has been going on all morning and they are still going at it. I think they are going to need a few baths today.
It's interesting keeping a post like this g rated but I seem to have made it work.

Re: Juvenile antics
Hi Trish.
Yea, these crazy youngsters, they want to figure things out and practice on anyone who will sit still
In reality, it's more of a dominance thing, like young puppies.
You'll have to watch, that you don't end up with incest babies (which has been known to happen at a very young age) . Mother/son, father/daughter, brother/sister.... and so on. This is really not desirable.

No worries there, I seperated the mother awhile back due to dad plucking, then I moved the daughter in with her as soon as I knew it was a hen.lovezebs wrote: Hi Trish.

Good idea to seperate the genders.
Don't want to end up with a two headed birdlings (just kidding)
.
As to these young fellas. At some point or another, they will get serious about the dominance thing. They will have to figure out whose the head huncho, and you may get some air battles.
Just a heads up on that.
Brotherly love only goes so far in a Zebra's world.
