They are too cute! How do yours get along since you only house that species together? I have found in a mixed avairy they do not work too well. Didn't know that when I got my pair.......

Here are mine. They are about to be rehomed. I had a hard time getting the picture because they were in a cage and didn't appreciate my interference. If your wondering about all the perches.... I have one that has droopy wings and cannot fly, so I have made him a way to join his siblings.

I breed them on their own,but I have also had them in flights with Gouldians,Javas,Chestnut Breast Mannikins,Zebras, with no problems.
But there have always been several pairs together so maybe with each other to argue amongst they had no time to fall out with others.

Nice pictures Poohbear.....I like their markings. Are they noisy birds like Zebras or quieter?

I will answer that and see if Poohbear's answer is in agreement......

They are not as noisy as a zebra, but they are nosey like a zebra.
I personally love their morning calls. It sounds like a hoot owl....
They are so comical and bob up and down every time they land on a perch. But they are agressive like a zebra...
