Meet Lestrade and Mrs.Hudson :D

I took these at the breeders so not the best photos. They are pretty nervous right now so I didn't want to bother them with more pictures. I want them to settle down in their new home. Hopefully I can post more pictures tomorrow.

Ya'll are right is addictive :P

No not planned..I was at Wal-Mart in the pet section looking at toys for the keets and this elderly lady asked me what kind of birds I had..so after we talk for a few minutes she says that she raised finches and asked if I wanted to see them..and you can guess the rest..

Oh dear, it's a slippery slope girl, a very slippery slope.... lol.
When people start picking you up at Walmart, you know you're in trouble.

Have you checked your face in a mirror? Does it say 'I'm crazy about Finches' on your forehead ??? Haahahaah!!!

LOL...... Cocker Spaniel, eh?
Google images of Landseer Newfoundland dog :-).

I'm a sucker for animals too, so I totally understand where you're coming from. I always say, that I love all animals better than I like most peope :-D.

How long have I had birds?

Well I was bitten by a very large parrot on the finger as a very young child. I think I got the bug then, lol.

As a teen, I had Budgies. Later, Canaries and finches. Later, I ended up with Lovebirds, for close to twenty years. After my last Lovebird died at 18 years of age, I told myself no more birds.

Yea, right....
I heared a Canary singing in a store I was visiting......

Next thing I knew, Luciano came into my life.

I was only going to have one Canary, in a small cage in my kitchen, just one small Canary......

Yea right.....

Two little Zebra brothers followed, and a couple of Societies, and a rescued couple of Zebras, and......

I was NOT going to breed, not after the Lovebirds, never again, not me!!!

But then well...... :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH: I joined the Forum, and someone laid an egg (my white 'male' Zebra (?)

And that was only the begining..... the story continues. .... =)) :)) =)) :))

In the end we can all part our white/grey hair put it up in a bun, shuffle off in the bushes and talk to our birds :YMDAYDREAM:

They will think we are nuts, we will be with the only creatures that understand our senility. :))

I can completely relate....I've had birds off and on throughout my life, but within the past six months, it's exploded to 17 adults and 6 hatchlings. My husband keeps asking me when it's going to stop, and I just look at him and smile. I'm getting two owl males this weekend. I'm in love with them all! I call them my babies
