There is no discrimination in the holding aviary and everyone clumps with everyone :D

So cute. All of my little guys in my Waxbill flight, enjoy cuddling together. The funniest thing is, when Hunter, my Shaft Tail, gets in the middle and all the little ones are preening him. It's hilarious, he looks like Gulliver in Lillypoot (Lilliput ? )

Wow what a nice variety of "buddies" hanging out together! Hahah Of course a society has to get in on the snuggles ! =D>

What species are the two in the center. They are dazzling!

Thanks all, I really do love these little ones!

Put them into a breeding aviary though and all love is gone! My breeding pairs of orange-cheeks are having wonderful arguments at the moment (vocal only, not physical). It's a great sign that they are starting to get serious about nesting :D

I was just chuckling @ this photo looking again at it.

The other 3 finches seem to be hanging out on patio chairs chatting.

The society (OF COURSE) is like it's frumped out on a Lazy Boy in front of a wide screen on football night with nacho dip on the coffee table.

Made me snort! You gotta frame that one.

LoL :-D

The Zebra, is pretending to be nnonchalant. The Goldbreasts, are making polite conversation. The Society, is lounging back , just hanging out.

Yeah this one is sooo perfect of their personalities! I think the society told the zebra to be quiet during half-time :-T

But your gouldians males if I remember never miss a society football game either =))

Babs this little society boy was the first bird I bred 3 year ago and he will be staying with me until his end of days! He is such a character and lets me know which of my uncolored gouldian youngsters are hens, as he loves to sing to all the girls in the holding aviary. Such a happy chappy and gets on with everyone :D

Ps. That is an orange-cheeked waxbill on the left and not a zebra finch

You are so right.
Good grief, but my eyes are shot. I thought it was a Zebra as well, until you mentioned it Roxanne, and I took a better look.

As to your Socie boy, he looks very much at home, just chilling with the kids :-D.

lovezebs This society boy is very funny. Whenever I have to go catch birds in the holding aviary, instead of flying around in panic like everyone else, he just drops to the floor and quietly sits in a corner. It's like he is thinking "she won't see me down here!"

Smart little boy :D
