Congrats. i decided to get quail again so i have a male/female pair and she just laid a fifth egg today. I am gonna leave them and let them try to incubate because i dont really care if they hatch them or not.

we had 23 coturnix quail eggs, 13 hatched and we had 3 button quail and 1 hatched. I thought that was pretty good for a first attempt.

I am now excited my mama hen gould is sitting quietly on her clutch.

I see it's been nearly a week since you originally posted, but be careful if you have the Coturnix and button chicks together. The buttons are so tiny it's easy for them to get trampled or picked on by bigger chicks, and they're pretty delicate when they're so young. They're fun to raise, though, aren't they? :D
