While cleaning Max and Kelsy's cage today, I found an egg in their bath water....
Could it be? Is it possible, that our little one legged, one winged Max, and my one winged Kelsy, managed to uhemm.... hook up and produce an egg ????

Well, unless it was an immaculate conception, I do believe they have managed it!

There aren't any other birds in that cage, are there?

No other birds t'all, Sally.
I suppose it is possible that Kelsey girl, is just in the mood for egg laying, but I wonder..... Between the two of them, they have 2 wings and three legs, lol. He's a Zebra, she's a Society.....
Isn't Nature wonderful at finding a way against all odds ?

Hi Babs,
She can't fly, he can't fly. She can walk, he can't.....
They can both hop around, I guess they both hopped in just the right way, and....

Slam, bam, pass the spinach M'am, lol.
They do have a nest on the cage floor, which I placed in there for sleeping purposes. I've never seen them sleeping in there, who knows what they HAVE been doing in there

If the nest is rocking, don't bother knocking

Hi Mark,
Good to see you again
These two have beat the odds in so many ways, I guess nothing should surprise me, lol.
So far, haven't seen any other eggs anywhere, although our Max, has been rolling around the cage, pulling on some bits of Timothy hay, and he does appear to have a silly grin on his face, shrug.....

I've not really left. I check in every now and then when I have some time.
Dad seems to be recovering and might be fit enough to make the journey to Melbourne. However, it now appears that my mum is going to need her second hip replacement sooner rather than later.
It never rains, but it pours.

Holy Crow, you guys just don't get a break, do you?
Thumbs up for Dad
As for Mom.... a hip replacement, takes several weeks of recovery, but she should still be able to travel after a few weeks.
Best wishes to your family.
