The new Shafttail and the Silverbills

Post by FLDoc » Sat Apr 30, 2016 9:27 pm

I got a female Shafttail a few weeks back and put her in with three Gouldians, two Silverbills and two Diamond doves. She first was staying by herself, which is normal. But last evening I found her perching between the Silverbills preening the male. The female Silverbill is getting some preening tonite. Planning on getting a male for her, then we'll have to see if the Shafttails need to be moves. They are said to possibly get aggressive if nesting. Love the female's call. She sounds like a distant eagle at times.
